Park Life!

Hello My Lovelies

It is the first day of autumn and transitional weather time, so I have no idea what to wear half the time. It is still quite warm but at the same time I can feel a snap of cold. I tried to kept this outfit light and breathable, I didn't feel too hot or cold so I think I chose my outfit well and the decision to wear monochrome matched Pixel the Boston Terrier rather well!

What I wore:

Sheer Stripe Top - H&M
(I wore a black vest underneath)
Jeans with knee slit rips - Primark similar here
Boots - River Island (Old) similar here
Necklace - Dorothy Perkins simliar here

I would love to know what you think of this outfit and what you are wearing during this transitional period. Please leave a comment below.

An out of the blue manicure

Happy Weekend Everybody

Today I want to share with you some oh so simple nailart. This manicure consists of two shades of blue and a single false nail (ssshhh... a little cheat here). I know we don't always have enough time to paint chevrons and I know I find it impossible to paint them on my right hand, so this is a simple solution,

What I used;

Barry M -   Blue Grape
Barry M -   Turquoise
False Nail - Primark (£1)
Top Coat -  Seche Vite

Please let me know your thoughts on this mani in the comments below.

This is not another Jumpsuit...

Hi Everyone!!!

Today I would like to share with you my latest outfit, it may at first glance look like a jumpsuit but I am in fact wear matching floral trousers and top! (Co-ords). For me this outfit ticks all the boxes, I get to look like I am wearing a jumpsuit, but without the baggy bum look jumpsuits tend to give me. Then I am left with a pair of trousers and I top I can create endless outfits with!

I am in love with the dark green in this print. It is a beautiful contrast to my new purple highlights so I have a feeling I will be wearing green a lot next season!

Please let me know your thoughts on this outfit in the comments below.

A quirky little weekend in a lighthouse!

Happy August Bank Weekend All

Hubby and I are just back from one of the most amazing weekends ever. We stayed in a lighthouse, yes an actual lighthouse! How incredible is that?

The West USK Lighthouse Visit here is situated approx 20 Min's drive from Cardiff, Wales. The lighthouse now decommissioned, has been tastefully renovated and turned into a B&B by Frank and his wife. We loved listening to Frank's interesting stories, his knowledge of the lighthouse and all things nautical really enriched our stay.

A memorable highlight was walking a mile along the deserted coastline where we reached the local pub, we were entertained by the locals, we loved listening to their charming welsh accents and were taken back by their hospitality. It is not often you can walk into a rural local pub and feel so welcome. The food and drink was a pleasure too and the price about a third of London's prices also a lovely surprise.

We truly felt like we had stayed in a lighthouse not just a Disney replica. The scenery is quite magical, on one side you see lush green and the other the beautiful blue sea, the contrast is breath taking. Inside the lighthouse we loved discovering all the interesting little hidden treasures, not all things nautical though you will find a Dalek under the stairs and a Tardis next to the hot tub! We loved every quirky minute and were sad to leave.

It was a bit chilly so I couldn't really wear my favourite striped dress. However I did try to keep the nautical theme going with my striped bag and striped vest (sorry not easy to see in the pics!)
